Next time you complain about being too short to reach the lightbulb or being too tall for 'regular' jeans, spare a thought for Nancy, who, at 6ft 9in, is so tall she struggles to fit into a car.

The 17-year-old is one of four women who have opened up about the daily struggles of being tall in TLC's new reality series, My Giant Life.

The stars of the show - all women who are over 6ft 6in tall - reveal how difficult it can be to cope with the simplest of daily tasks including loading the dishwasher or going to the supermarket.

In a trailer for the show, Nancy reveals the trials and tribulations of going through high school when you're 6ft 9in.

The teen is trying to learn to drive, but finding a car that she can fit her long legs into is proving difficult.

Meanwhile as her school prom approaches, finding a date is the least of her worries - she still has to find a dress that fits.

Someone who knows exactly how Nancy feels is Lindsay, a 6ft 9in actress and former wrestler, who also holds the Guinness World Record for being the 'Tallest Actress in a Leading Role'.

"When I go out in public, people think I'm the most exciting thing there because I'm so tall and so different to see," says Lindsay.

But it's not all glamour for the actress, who says that her jet-setting lifestyle can be incredibly grating because of her height.

"The airplane is very frustrating," she explains in a teaser clip which sees her trying to fit into the toilet cubicle on a plane.

Colleen from San Diego says that she sometimes feels like a "baby giraffe" because of her height.

The 36-year-old, former pro-volleyball player stands at 6ft 6in and has had to invest in custom made furniture for her home, including a chopping board which stands more than 13in taller than the counter.

Colleen is also searching for Mr Right and says that she's ready to use her height as an "asset" rather than a "liability".

Last but not least, Haleigh, a 23-year-old from Huntington Beach, California, stands at 6ft 7in.

She has used her incredible height to her advantage and is now embarking upon a professional volleyball career which could see her travelling the world.

In addition to her fantastic career prospects, Haleigh has a master's degree and is engaged to the love of her life, Bryan - who happens to be considerably shorter than she is.

But she says that she's concerned her father doesn't approve of the match because of her partner's smaller stature and because he thinks their relationship will hold his daughter back.

"Dating a woman at 6ft 7in while you're 5ft 8in comes with its various personal challenges," says her fiancé, Bryan as he stands on a step to kiss his future bride.

But regardless of the struggles they face, he's willing to stick around anyway.

The show makes up a five-part series which aired in the US for the first time on 14 July.

Thinking Of Going For Drinks With Your Ex? This Video Proves Why It's Never A Good Idea

$

Picture the scenario: Your ex gets in touch and asks if you want to go for a drink.

You'll probably be tempted to say yes, even if it's just out of curiosity. After all, you used to date this person, what's the worst that could happen?

Well, oh naive one, there are certain things that happen when you go for drinks with your ex, as the above video by BuzzFeed demonstrates.

First, there's the awkward greeting. Do you kiss on the cheek? Do you hug? Do you high five? WHAT DO YOU DO?

Then, there's the equally awkward reminisce fest. Inevitably, one of you will take a stroll down memory lane to happier times when the two of you were in a relationship, while the other sits twiddling their thumbs.

After the obligatory questions about how each other's parents are doing, there really is only one thing left to do...

Shots.

The moral of the story? Going for drinks with your ex rarely ends well.

It's a family affair, as Nicole Richie's super-stylish young sister Sofia has landed her first fashion campaign for Material Girl - the brand created by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes.

Sofia has been making her presence well and truly known on the fashion scene, despite being only 16 years old.

She's been snapped up for a modelling contract by Select Model Management, where she'll be kept company by some of the world's most famous fashion names, including Agnyess Deyn and Pixie Geldof.

For her first cover for ASOS Magazine, Sofia rocked a number of fresh summer looks. She told them that "Vogue is a massive goal for me. I hope my character will make people see past the fact I'm not 6ft 5ins."

(She's in fact 5ft 6ins)

And since she'll be the face of Material Girl's AW15 campaign, there's surely no stopping her.

"Sofia perfectly embodies the style and spirit of Material Girl and is the ideal new face for the line," Madonna said - high praise indeed.

Sister Nicole needn't worry though - Sofia credits her with being her main inspiration.

There's been some debate on social media about whether Madonna has actually got her septum pierced or if she is just channeling this season's trend for all things fake, as modelled by Kendall Jenner when she sported elaborate facial piercings on the cover of Vogue Japan.

And it's not just piercings, temporary tattoos are also in now, with countless celebs sporting flash tats and male models covered from neck to toe in fake body art on the catwalk at the Dsquared2 Milan Fashion Week spring/summer 16 show.

Mum And Two Children Driven Out Of Home By Plague Of Flying Ants

A family have been driven out of their home after suffering from a swarm of flying ants invading their house.

Michelle Rodgers, 36, and her two daughters, Michaela, 16, and Morgan, 10, claimed they have had to put up with the insects for nine years, but can no longer deal with it.

The family, from Glasgow, moved out from their housing association house on 30 June and are currently waiting for the ants' nest to be found.

Rodgers told The Daily Record: "It is like a horror movie. My youngest daughter was waking up in the middle of the night in terror because the ants were all over her and her bed.

"I’m at the end of the line. I just can’t put my family through this."

ants

Rodgers said although she has had outbreaks over the past nine years, the most recent one has been the "worst ever".

The mother-of-two thinks the nest of ants is under the floorboards and she says the outbreak happens around this time of the year, every year, when the weather is hot and humid.

She said she can't put her children through this anymore and has even called out pest control numerous times with failed attempts.

Rodgers wants Tollcross Housing Association to find her a new home.

Although she has been in contact with the association before, she said they have given her temporary treatments that didn't solve the problem.

She added, according to The Mirror: "Now [the association] have agreed to come out and clean up all the bodies of the dead flying ants that are all over the house.

"I’ve told them I won’t accept anything less than them finding the nest and destroying it or finding me a new home."

She claims the only place the ants don't go is in the bathroom.

The housing association have been contacted for comment.

You may think you've seen all YouTube has to offer when it comes to wedding proposal videos, but Tyler Shelton's short film will make even the most cynical reach for the tissues.

The video blogger has been dating his girlfriend Haylee Rose for nine years. Tragically, Haylee's dad Greg passed away in 2014 due complications of an enlarged heart.

Greg died before Tyler, 21, had a chance to ask for permission to marry Haylee, so he had to get creative.

The video begins with Tyler asking each of Haylee's siblings permission to propose to their sister.

Her brother, Grant, tells him: "Everybody in out family knows that Dad would 100% want you guys to get married. He loved you for sure, just like a son as well - you guys had a good relationship."

Tyler then goes on to read out a letter he has written to Haylee's late father.

marriage proposal

"Dear Greg. I'm going to marry your daughter. I always thought of how I was going to ask for your blessing one day and now that day is here," he says.

"I wish you were here to hand your baby girl off to me so I promise to be more than you would ever want me to be.

"I want to be the man who shows her love and patience and gives her everything she needs. I'll tell her exactly how beautiful she is and I'll show her how to believe in herself. I will take care of her."

The video ends with Tyler getting down on one knee while he and Haylee holiday in Rome. As he pops the question the words "I'll make you proud to call me your son" appear on the screen.

Could this guy get any more thoughtful?

Five Exercises for Toning Arms

$

If you want to tone up your arms, fitness expert Hannah Rees has five easy exercises that will get your biceps and triceps in shape in no time.

You'll need a resistance band and a box - and by the time you're done, you'll probably need a license to carry those guns. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Exercise 1: Bicep Curl

biceps

Take the resistance band and put it under the arch of your foot. Grip it with your palms facing forward.

On your inhaling breath, curl the arm toward the shoulder. Exhale as you bring it back down.

Be careful not to lock out the arm at the bottom of the movement as that will keep the tension in the bicep.

Exercise 2: Hammer Curl

exercise

Use the resistance band again, but this time with a different grip, with your thumb facing forward.

On the inhale, bend your forearm towards to your shoulder, keeping the elbow tight to the torso.

Pause at the top and release back down again. Remember not to lock out at the bottom of the movement!

Exercise 3: Tricep Kickback

exercise

This will work the opposing muscle to your bicep, so it's a great way of getting an all-round tone on your arms.

Stand on the resistance band, letting it pass under the arch of the feet.

Lean your torso slightly forward, bending your elbows to create tension with the band.

Bend your forearms back behind you, keeping your upper arm stationary.

Don't forget to pause at the full range of motion and then release back down again.

Exercise 4: Overhead Bicep Extension

exercise

Pass the band behind your head with one arm. Keep the arm in line with your body, and extend the lower arm toward the ceiling. Release back down again, and keep looking straight ahead.

Exercise 5: Tricep Dip

exercise

For this exercise, you'll need a box or a chair. Place your hands on the edge of the box or chair, and scoot your hips forward. Walk your feet forward too, keeping your torso close to the box/chair.

Lower your body down to the floor, ideally with a 90 degree angle on the arms. Then push back up again, keeping the torso nice and tight.

If you want to make it easier you can walk the legs slightly further back towards the chair or box.

Katy Perry can't wait to get the party season started.

The 30-year-old singer has chosen a stuffy day in July to announce that she is the face of the H&M 2015 holiday campaign.

H&M teased the news by gradually releasing Instagram snaps showing sections of the singer's face.

Perry then also shared a photo on her Instagram:

Speaking about the collaboration Perry said:

"One of the reasons I love the holidays is being able to dress cozy and cute, which H&M executes so well for every budget.

"I can’t wait for you to see the world we created with Jonas Åkerlund and Dan Jackson."

"H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style," she said.

"I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years."

H&M are being coy about what their holiday range will consist of and so far have only released the Instagram image above and one other picture that shows a glimpse of Perry's Christmas jumper partially obscured by someone's shoulder.

How Many Children Could You Look After? Facebook Quiz Aims To Tell You The Answer

You might dream of having a big family, but a new quiz doing the rounds on Facebook is predicting how many children you can really look after.

The nine-question quiz asks you questions about your family, hobbies, what you like to do to relax and your opinion on children.

Once you've completed the questions, your result will pop up on screen, and may be a lot higher than how many children you already have or are planning to have -some quiz players got results in the double digits!

Apparently we can all look after a lot more kids than we thought...

quiz

questuons

But of course, it is just a bit of fun and while it won't help you decide how many children you will have, it might be useful for working out whether you would be a really, really good babysitter.

We're also not convinced that the nine questions are best picked to determine the amount of children you can look after.

One of them simply states: "Do you dream of having a big family?" - No prizes for guessing how your answer to that will affect your score.

And some others seem a bit off the point and pretty vague.

But aside from that, this quiz will provide a lot of laughs.

So come on then - how many kids can you look after? Take the quiz here.

'Bottle Feeding Is Beautiful Too' Photographer Shares Stunning Snaps Of Babies With Bottles

Breastfeeding photos capture a beautifully touching moment of a mother spending quality time with her baby.

But although Nikke Whitman - a photographer based in America - loves seeing and taking these photos, she decided there weren't enough photos that captured the bonding that occurs as a mother bottle feeds her baby, so she decided to even out the balance by sharing a series of beautiful bottle-feeding photos on her blog.

Whitman told HuffPost UK Parents: "My inspiration came from a mixture of things: my own experiences, the heartache I had seen in friends over the years who had complications breastfeeding and were broken-hearted over not being able to nurse, and friends who have felt or experienced judgment first-hand when using a bottle."

Whitman admitted that she tried to breastfeed for the health of her children, but her body only allowed her "just shy of four months" minimum.

She continued: "It was a woman called Brittnae's [pictured above] story, which is featured on my blog, that brought all the stories together for me and the light bulb went off.

"I thought to myself, 'I celebrate nursing and bonding in imagery, why don't I celebrate bottle feeding and bonding in imagery?'"

Whitman said that after breastfeeding for a short time she turned to bottle feeding with all her children.

"With my youngest it was great to see the whole family taking turns getting to feed Amelia.

"I wanted to share these photos to show that bonding doesn't only happen at the breast.

"While I support breastfeeding, I also wanted to show that I support bottle feeding as well.

"What matters is that we encourage our babies to thrive and provide them with the tools to do that as we can."

Women Warned Against Using Feminine Hygiene Products To Wash Vagina

Women have been warned against the use of feminine hygiene products, after scientists found that incorrect usage can affect hormone levels.

When used internally, for "vaginal douching", these products can impact oestrogen, testosterone and thyroid hormone levels, researchers warn.

Women are being urged to use the products to wash externally (the vulva and labia) rather than internally (the vagina), as internal use can expose users to harmful chemicals known as "phthalates".

vaginal douching

The study took urine tests from 739 women to detect phthalate exposure. The female participants were also questioned about their douching habits and use of other feminine care products.

Researchers found that the more a woman "douched", the higher her exposure to a form of diethyl phthalate (DEP).

In women who douched at least once a month, there were 52% higher concentrations of a form of phthalate found in their urine, and those who douched at least twice a month had 152% higher DEP concentrations in their urine than non-douchers.

Researchers also found no link between DEP and other feminine hygiene products such as tampons, sanitary towels, powders and sprays.

"Douching is not medically required," said lead author, Ami Zota from George Washington University. "A healthy vagina has an effective self-cleaning system."

Zota added that doctors generally advise against douching as it can increase a woman's risk of bacterial vaginosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, pregnancy complications and potentially cervical cancer.

For those who want to keep downstairs clean and fresh, sex and relationships expert Tracey Cox recommends using an external, soap-free feminine wash.

"A healthy vagina is 'self-cleaning' and has a pleasant odour, so there's no need to douche," she tells HuffPost UK Lifestyle.

"If you do feel the need to, there could be a problem, so see your GP for a check up rather than try to mask any important symptoms - like a smelly discharge.

"I'd strongly advise using an external soap-free feminine wash," she adds, "it seems to help stop recurrences of things like thrush or cystitis. But I'd strongly advise against vaginal douching under all circumstances."

Natika Halil, chief executive of sexual health charity, FPA, echoes Cox's thoughts.

"It’s not necessary for women to use a douche," she says, "the vagina is very good at keeping itself clean and flushing water into the vagina can upset the balance of the normal bacteria.

"Douching has been linked to bacterial vaginosis, which is the most common cause of unusual vaginal discharge."

She adds: "We’ve also heard of women using douches to prevent pregnancy after sex, or to prevent sexually transmitted infections – it is ineffective in both cases."

A woman with Down's Syndrome who became a model after adopting a healthier lifestyle, is now beginning to make waves in the fashion industry.

Madeline Stuart, 18, shared her inspiring fitness journey on Instagram almost two months ago.

Now she's been chosen to front the national campaign for US handbag brand, EverMaya, and is well on her way to becoming something of an internet sensation.

Since day one, Stuart has been incredibly vocal about her condition on social media and has revealed how she won't let it stand in the way of her dreams of becoming a model.

Recently, she documented her weight loss story in a Facebook post where she described her fitness journey.

She wrote: "So 18 months ago I decided to turn my weight around and to concentrate on my health. This is the outcome."

Since adopting a fitness plan and healthier lifestyle to help her fulfil her dreams, Stuart has landed a succession of modelling gigs. But this is quite possibly the most exciting one yet.

Good News For Vegetarians: Seaweed That Tastes Like Bacon Actually Exists

Sound the superfood klaxon, because scientists have discovered a type of seaweed that tastes like bacon.

Researchers at Oregon State University’s Food Innovation Center have been growing a red alga called dulse, which is typically found on the shores of the north Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

The seaweed (or sea vegetable) has been devoured for centuries in places like Ireland, Iceland, and Scandinavia.

But now it's really taking off and researchers reckon it might even be the next big thing - it's nutritious, fast growing, and, when fried, tastes like bacon.

dulse seaweed

The discovery means the prayers of many vegetarians (who secretly crave a rasher every now and then) have essentially been answered.

It's a far healthier alternative to fried bacon - in fact it's an excellent source of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. And for those looking to bulk up, it also contains up to 16% protein by dry weight.

"Dulse is a super food, with twice the nutritional value of kale," said Chuck Toombs, a professor in OSU’s College of Business. "OSU has developed a variety that can be farmed, with the potential for a new industry on the Oregon coast."

Laters, kale.

Hidden Health Dangers Of Kale: Traces Of Rat Poison Found In Popular Superfood

If you love kale, then chances are you're not going to like what's coming next.

A small study has found that the leafy green vegetable, which has long been hailed for its health properties, could actually be dangerous if too much is consumed.

Biologist Ernie Hubbard discovered that kale contains heavy metals such as thallium and cesium, as well as traces of nickel, lead, alumium and arsenic.

And this is regardless of whether it's organic or not.

kale dangers

Ernie Hubbard decided to research more about kale after finding that "health fanatics" - people who exercised, ate healthily, didn't smoke or drink - were visiting their doctors about complaints such as chronic fatigue, skin and hair issues, arrhythmias, gluten sensitivity and other digestive troubles.

Initially, nobody could pinpoint what the problem was. But after taking urine samples from the patients, Hubbard discovered that many of them registered high levels of thallium and cesium.

He then discovered that the cruciferous family of vegetables - kale, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower - absorb thallium from the soil.

Putting two and two together, he realised there was most definitely a link.

Kale has sky-rocketed in popularity in recent times. People are eating and drinking it because it's rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin K and anti oxidants.

But it's also rich in heavy metals such as thallium, Hubbard told Craftmanship magazine, which is typically found in rat poison.

And while Kale only contains small amounts of the metal, if large amounts are consumed on a daily basis, this can cause health issues such as fatigue, heart problems, nausea and hair loss.

One of Hubbards' patients, a 52-year-old vegetarian who exercised for two hours each day and ate plenty of greens, was complaining of being fatigued and having brain fog - her hair had also begun to fall out.

Hubbard asked her what her favourite vegetable was and she replied that it was kale and cabbage, which she consumed daily.

Her urine samples confirmed that she had worrying amounts of thallium in her system - in fact, the levels were seven times more than what's considered a safe amount.

Story continues below...

Anna Daniels, a spokesperson for The British Dietetic Association tells HuffPost UK Lifestyle that kale has been heralded as a superfood because it's a rich source of vitamins and minerals: per 100g, Kale has 3.1g fibre, 3.4g protein, 33 calories and is a rich source of carotene and folate.

"Thallium is toxic to mammals and a few studies have highlighted the potential transfer of thallium into soil and thus into the vegetables that are grown in these soils," she explains.

"Yet little is understood in regard to transfer to the crop, which would also differ by crop and also by region due to the soil type."

"What we know today is that the health benefits of eating kale outweigh the risks to the individual consuming this green leafy vegetable as part of a healthy balanced diet," she adds.

"There is no recommended amount of kale to eat in your diet, but 2-3 portions per day would be perfectly acceptable."

According to BDA, consuming vast amounts of the same vegetable could cause toxicity.

"Often the general public may hear of a new superfood and start to eat more of it, which is fine so long as this isn't in excess," says Daniels.

"However, all fruits and vegetables are 'super' in being that they contain differing levels of vitamins and minerals which are good for us."

Colourblind Man Sees Pink And Purple For The First Time (And It's Glorious)

The beautiful moment that a colourblind man sees colour for the first time has been caught on camera - and it's enough to make even the toughest heart melt.

Ethan was born colourblind. "It doesn't mean that I see the world in black and white, it just means that I see things in a way that are a little bit more dull than usual," he explains.

When his friend handed him a pair of snazzy looking shades for his birthday, he thought they'd be just like any other pair of sunglasses.

Little did he know his pal had bought him a pair of EnChroma glasses, which are specially designed to help people with colour blindness see properly.

Ethan explains that without the glasses, he can see some pink colours and a bit of green - but sometimes green looks brown or yellow, and pink can look silver or blue.

When he puts the glasses on, things change dramatically.

He finds a pink pen and - with a huge smile on his face - says "It's pink!"

Then he picks up a purple tub and exclaims: "Is this purple? What the fuck?! Holy shit."

Ethan sees purple for the first time and is amazed by the colour.

Clearly overwhelmed by the present his friend has bought him, Ethan walks around the room taking in every bit of colour - from post-it notes on the wall to stationery.

"I love you James," he tells his friend as he embraces him.

Then, the clip cuts to the moment Ethan took his new glasses for a spin outside. And it's incredibly emotional.

Sisters Perform Hilarious Mash-Up Song In Best Wedding Toast We've Ever Seen

Kelsey and Maddie Hallerman might just be the best siblings ever.

The pair were joint maids of honour at their sister Caitlin’s wedding in June, but they decided not to give guests another "sappy" speech to listen to.

Instead, the California-born pair delivered a hilarious mash-up song for their sister and her new husband, John Weaver.

Switching up the lyrics to songs including Tracy Chapman's 'Give Me One Reason', the Jackson 5's 'I Want You Back' and the Backstreet Boys' 'Everybody', the singing sisters document everything about Caitlin, from how she used to beat boys at sport as a kid, to how excited she was when she first met John.

Their tribute ends with them breaking it down Gospel-style while singing about the wedding day itself.

Unsurprisingly, Caitlin and John seemed pretty impressed by their effort.

This London Dance Studio Proves Children With Disabilities Can Do Ballet

When a parent learns their child may have a disability, they often have to go through months or even years of assessments. When the gruelling diagnostic process is over, they are often handed a long list of things their child "can't" or "won't" be able to do.

"Your child can't communicate like other children their age. Your child won't be able to dress themselves. Your child can't attend mainstream school or after school clubs."

But one charity is determined to show both parents and children with disabilities what they can do - all through the power of dance.

ICanDance is a London-based dance studio that offers classes for young people with a range of disabilities.

"Most children in mainstream school today have the opportunity to attend an after school club. They can go to a dance class or maybe a tennis club and it enables them to expand their learning and gain skills in a social and creating environment," Juliet Diener, founder and principle of ICanDance, tells HuffPost UK Lifestyle.

"But the same opportunities do not exist for children with disabilities."

Juliet was working as a dance movement psychotherapist and a special needs teacher when parents began to tell her they couldn't find weekend clubs suitable for their children.

She had worked as a ballet teacher in the past, so decided to set up a class of her own.

ICanDance now runs classes every Saturday for children aged 4-25. Juliet tells us she firmly believes in welcoming pupils "with anything and everything".

Some children who attend classes have physical disabilities and are in wheelchairs, whereas others have a multitude of physical, learning, social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties.

The staff welcome children with conditions including Down's Syndrome and autism and classes are grouped by age, so children have the chance to mix with a range of people with different levels of ability.

"A lot of the time parents come to us and say 'do you think you’ll be able to cope with my child?', but we take the approach of 'of course we can, we just have to find the approach that works best for them'."

Although Juliet is passionate that ICanDance should run like any other dance studio - with an annual show and rehearsals every week - there are a few key things that make the sessions different.

All classes begin in a circle because the sessions are "as much about connecting with each other as they are about dance".

The staff will spend a long time greeting the children, before going into a free movement warm-up.

"A lot of the time it’s just about developing and creating their own movement," Juliet explains.

Next, they'll move on to more traditional exercises, such as a basic ballet barre or practicing a choreographed routine. As well as challenging their memory, exercises are designed to work the children's muscles in the same way that a physiotherapy session would, but feel far more enjoyable.

Finally, the class will end with games that are about self-expression, where the children get to chose various props and move to the music how they feel.

"Many of our dancers are non-verbal and many children with disabilities have communication problems, but dance provides them with the opportunity to be heard" says Juliet.

"The way they move, the way they interpret the music, the way they chose props or work with a scarf can tells us so much about what’s going on inside."

One of the young people who has thrived thanks to sessions with Juliet and her team is 21-year-old Victor.

Victor, who has autism and is non-verbal, attended a cognitive learning centre in London when he was younger, where Juliet was one of his therapists.

He struggled when he moved from the centre to secondary school and began to suffer from anxiety around the age of 15, becoming very distressed when interacting with new people or going to new places.

But his mum, Rosa Petrucci, heard Juliet had started to run dance classes. ICanDance now helps Victor to manage his feelings of anxiety and helps to boost his confidence.

"Victor used to love his sessions with Juliet at the cognitive centre, so going to see her at dance was wonderful for him - we could tell he loved it straight away," Rosa tells us.

"Despite the fact that he has severe learning disabilities, we always wanted Victor to be included in an environment where he could have good role models."

Rosa says she struggled to find clubs that were suitable for Victor in past because although he has learning difficulties, he does not have any physical difficulties.

"Classes would either be for children who have very severe disabilities, or they would be for very able-bodied children, which Victor would of course not be able to follow," she says.

"We simply couldn't find anything where we knew he would be accepted and where he could learn."

Although Victor will never be able to say "Mum, I love this dance class", Rosa says she sees it "written all over his face" when he's at ICanDance, especially when he performs in the annual show.

When Victor first began performing in the shows, Rosa used to spend the whole day with him in the theatre to calm his nerves and give him time to get used to his surroundings.

Now thanks to Victor's rise in confidence, she arrives at the same time as the other parents and Victor can't wait to get on the stage.

"The show may be a ballet opportunity but to be honest Victor doesn’t have the rhythm or the co-ordination to be a professional dancer, but that isn’t what it's about," she says.

"I think the most important thing is that he is respected for who he is. He loves to be able to show what he can do - everybody cheers and claps and he loves the praise. It’s just amazing to see."

Running shows and selling tickets is a major way ICanDace raises funds needed to hold classes every weekend.

The organisation is a registered charity which relies on public donations and grants, due to the fact that classes for people with disabilities are more expensive to run than regular dance classes.

"Our approach is very unique and requires the integration of highly skilled people," Juliet explains.

"A mainstream ballet class could have 20 children and one teacher and it would still function, but we’ll need to have a lead teacher and 10 support staff in a class for 13 children.

"It costs us around £50 per child to run a single ballet class, so that absolutely has to be subsidised for the parents."

The service provided by ICanDance is as much for the families of children with disabilities as it is for the pupils themselves.

The studio regularly runs family days where siblings without disabilities can get involved - Juliet's own two children often come along.

The weekly sessions also provide much-needed respite for parents.

"People who know me know that I don’t like to let Victor out of my sight," Rosa says.

"I know it’s not good for him but I am very, very attached and can be overprotective - possibly because he can’t speak, so if something bad happens he can’t come to me and tell me afterwards. I have to assume things are okay and be able to trust people.

"When Victor goes to a class with Juliet and her staff I know he is in good hands. I can relax, I can have my break and I know that he is happy - that’s the main thing for me."

More than anything though, ICanDance is about ensuring children with disabilities have exactly the same opportunities as children without disabilities.

"In the dance world, dance is often about perfection and here we are challenging that view," Juliet says.

"Dance is not necessarily about 'perfection' defined by how things appear aesthetically, but it’s about interpretation and expression.

"Everyone deserves the choice to be able to dance - that includes young people with disabilities."

Cauliflower: it's the vegetable that would make most of us run away with terror as kids.

But now, it's become something of a minor celebrity in the foodie world and we simply can't get enough of it.

The most wonderful thing about cauliflower - aside from its unique taste - is that it's incredibly versatile. These days you can make pretty much anything from it whether that's rice, pizza bases or even a mashed potato substitute.

And if that isn't enough to make you bulk buy the beige stuff, cauliflower contains vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, or plant nutrients, that can help neutralise damaging toxins in the body.

According to LiveStrong, it is rich in vitamin C which promotes skin and brain health, and contains potassium which is an essential dietary mineral.

We may spend hours analysing our hair, makeup and clothes in front of a mirror, but our vaginas rarely get a look in.

In the above video, a group of women attempt to identify their lady parts in a line-up of vaginas, with varying levels of accuracy.

First, the women stand behind a screen and take a long hard look at their vaginas using a mirror.

They describe what they see to professional portrait artist Caroline, who creates a sketch based on their description.

At this point a lot of the women opt for food comparisons...

"It's a bit like two string cheeses."

Caroline then pins all her sketches onto a board and the women take it in turns to try and pick out their own vagina.

Some ace the test straight away, while others get distracted by vagina envy.

"That one's pretty, it's not my though. Yeah...I like that one."

By the end of the "uncomfortable but enlightening" experience, one thing is clear...

Women definitely don't spend enough time looking at or talking about vaginas.
